PIECING IT TOGETHER PODCAST At MAYA CINEMAS FOR COCAINE BEAR FEB 23

David Rosen’s Piecing It Together Podcast will be live at Maya Cinemas for the film Cocaine Bear on February 23. Joining him will be Comedians Jason Harris (@jasonharriscomedy) and Luella Chavez (@luella.chavez) and Film Director Michael Keene (@mbkeene).

“I've got three great guests for the show, all people who have been guests on regular episodes of Piecing It Together before,” David Rosen says, “Jason Harris is a comedian as well as a filmmaker and is a regular on my show. I also produced his movie podcast Awesome Movie Year, so it's awesome to be able to have him on this live episode. Luella Chavez was one of the earliest guests I had on my podcast back when I was just getting started and connecting with other local podcasters. She is a podcaster, an actress and a stand-up comedian. Michael Keene was actually the director of the first movie that I ever did a live podcast on, The Head, back at 2019's Sin City Horror Fest. Since then I've had him on my podcast a couple of other times, and he's launched a successful YouTube review channel of his own, along with continuing to make films.”

David Rosen says he hopes this will be the first of many live podcasts to coincide with special screenings and film festivals.

“I've always thought since they opened right before the pandemic that Maya Cinemas would be an awesome venue to do a live episode of the podcast at, David said, “It just so happened that some of the partners that are helping me get this live show going had done some work with them before so it made for a perfect opportunity to finally do it. I would love to do shows at other theaters too (I did one last year in California too and am looking forward to doing them all over), but Maya is a great place and I hope to do plenty more there.”

The dark, R-rated action-comedy is loosely based on the true story of a 175-pound black bear living in the Chattahoochee National Forest in Georgia that, in the mid-1980s, gorged itself on 70 pounds of cocaine dropped in an aerial drug run gone bad.

The movie directed by Elizabeth Banks features an ensemble cast that includes Keri Russell, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Christian Convery, Alden Ehrenreich, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Brooklynn Prince, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Kristofer Hivju, Hannah Hoekstra, Margo Martindale, and Ray Liotta in one of his final performances before his death.

David Rosen’s music video for the song "Blacklight" from his new album MORE CONTENT is forthcoming.
