Press Release - VIMMAG: Vegas Poetry and Culture Now Online
After months of hard work and determination
VIMMAG has officially launched
From the get go we were determined to bring an online
directory of all the artists, organizations, and venues
available to all in this great city.
Its true that are our art community is still blossoming and growing,
and VIMMAG wants to be part of its nurturing and growth.
For January 2010, you will find an interview with local poet and author
Kari O'Connor, who for the past couple of years has hosted and
co-hosted poetry readings around town and has lead one of many
poetry slam teams.
VIMMAG is also spotlighting CityCenter and its efforts to bring
art to the strip, as well as a look into the Nevada Ballet,
the return of Neon Reverb, the theatre of the Insurgo Movement,
and a glimpse of what the Smiths Center for the Performing Arts
will represent.
VIMMAG will give local artists and visionaries the chance
to be featured on the website.
We believe Vegas needs an online
registry of local artists that are making a difference.
This state of the art online registry will entail information of the artist
and any media involved, but most importantly, will be offered
as a free service to any artist looking to be spotlighted for
their efforts. The only prequisite is that the person must be
currently involved in the artistic community.
VIMMAG is much more than just poetry, it is art,
dance, music, theatre and all the history and culture
you can imagine.
You can look forward each month to our online registry
growing, with new sights to see and new experiences to be
explored. You can look forward to phase two of our website
to bring blogs and an even more tailored experience.
