The 8th Annual Nevada Women’s Film Festival returns in-person to Las Vegas, June 23 – 26, 2022. Festivities kick off on Thursday evening at MEET Las Vegas downtown. The diverse international lineup includes 63 films from 13 countries, representing a wide variety of genres and filmmakers, ranging from seasoned professionals to students and local talent.

“People should expect to be entertained, inspired, and enlightened by some of the most creative women in the world,” Nikki Corda, Executive Director & Founder of the Nevada Women’s Film Festival told VIM Magazine.

Some of the films featuring this year include ‘Move Me No Mountain,’ directed by Nevada Filmmaker of the Year Deborah Richards and Vanguard Award Recipient film ‘Nuclear Family,’ directed by Ry-Russo Young. ‘Move Me No Mountain’ tells the story of a successful real estate agent that can no longer deal with the crushing guilt of her daughter’s death, so she voluntarily walks out of society to live a life of sleeping rough on the streets of sin city Las Vegas. Another notable film includes ‘The Creative High,’ a documentary directed by Adriana Marchione featuring nine artists in recovery from addiction who are transformed by creativity in their turbulent search for identity and freedom. VIM Magazine will be previewing and highlighting the films before the festival and officially covering the festival each day.

The festival is supported, in part, by the Nevada Arts Council, a state agency, which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. This festival is made possible by support from Nevada Humanities and the National Endowment for the Humanities.

NWFFest is a FilmFreeway Gold Festival and is IMDb-qualifying.
